Digital nomadism is a lifestyle choice which thanks to the internet has allowed many men and women to live a location-independent lifestyle whereby they can make money straight from their laptops. Naturally this is a lifestyle which many would like to have but not everyone quite understands what they need to do in order to achieve it. I spoke to my old friend and fellow digital nomad Daynna Volitich on what people can do to get started and become a digital nomad.

When you are first starting out it is absolutely vital that you do all that you can to bring in money, whichever way that you can. There are many ways of earning online and the smart move is to find ways in which you can make money through different revenue streams. Never put all of your eggs in one basket as you can never be sure whether or not it will always be successful.
Writing
One of the most common and most successful ways that people use to get started as a digital nomad is through content writing. There are literally thousands of websites out there who’s owners need content written for them. AS long as you are able to write to a good standard you could stand to make between $7 -10 for a 500 word piece. Drop shipping
Drop shipping is something else which many digital nomads are looking to use in order to give them an independent free lifestyle and if you can get it right you could stand to make a very successful business from this medium. The essence of drop shipping is that you create an online store selling, let’s say phone cases, when people order on your site that order is then relayed to a cheaper producer, who delivers the product directly to the customer. You will never have to hold stock, the service is carried out by the third party and you can simply continue to maintain your online store and then count the money. This can be a simple process if you get your processes in place.
Web Design
Web designers are making a large amount of money at the moment thanks to the huge number of people who want a sleek and high powered website. Even if you have no knowledge of this you can easily take a course to teach you how to design websites. Once you have knowledge of web design you can start to search for clients on freelance websites or even through contacting website owners directly, to offer your services. If you can nail this and keep the clients coming then you can make a good amount of money from this work.
The best thing to do is give it a try and see if you are able to forge a career as a digital nomad.
